ÖH-UWK Child Support Bonus
One-off support for child-related additional costs during your studies
We have set up an ÖH-UWK Social Fund for students of the University for Continuing Education Krems who are in particularly challenging life situations.
The ÖH-UWK Child Support Bonus (Child Support Fund) supports students with custody or parenting responsibilities with study-related increased or unexpected child-related expenses.
Funding amount:
- Up to €750 per academic year
What can I receive support for?
Funding is provided for child-related expenses that are increased due to studies or occur unexpectedly, e.g.:
- childcare costs (e.g., childminding/daycare)
- care costs (nursing/care-related expenses)
- special expenses for the child and studying
Note: Funding from this sub-fund can only be granted if using the existing UWK-ÖH support services is not feasible or not appropriate.
Requirements:
- You are an ordinary member of the ÖH-UWK (valid admission/enrolment/matriculation).
- You can plausibly demonstrate social need.
- You have custody or parenting responsibilities and can provide proof.
- If reasonable and appropriate, you should first apply for social funding via the ÖH Federal Representation (ÖH-Bundesvertretung).
Important: No double funding of the same expenses from ÖH-UWK funds. However, you may apply to the Child Support Fund and the Hardship Fund at the same time.
