The Unit of Economic Affairs (WiRef for short) deals with all financial matters.
The most important tasks include budget planning in the form of an annual budget and the preparation of annual financial statements. It is also responsible for providing information on the financial situation of individual cost centres or the entire university representation. It is responsible for ensuring that all financial resources are used in accordance with the guidelines and, together with the Chair, for concluding legal transactions.
In addition, it monitors compliance with the ordinances of the Federal Minister, the Austrian Students' Union Act (HSG 2014), the Financial Regulations and the Financial Guidelines.
