Social
Study barrier-free
Equal participation in studies
Barrier-free study at the University for Continuing Education Krems? Yes, it is possible!
Mr Stephan Rieker, M.A., is the Disability Officer at the University of Continuing Education Krems.
He is the contact and advice centre for students with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses.
Both the website and the newly designed UWK brochure contain all the important information on everyday student life, financial support and services for students with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses: www.donau-uni.ac.at/de/universitaet/service/barrierefrei-studieren.html
Study while working
Being socially integrated
Studying while working is always a particular challenge. On the one hand, the professional and private environment must be able to cope with this additional burden or, in the best case, provide support. On the other hand, many students are faced with an additional financial burden that is only partially borne by their employer.

Campus Culture
CAMPUS CULTURE – ENJOYMENT OF ART DURING THE PRESENCE PHASE
A part-time degree programme requires a great deal of commitment, sometimes without cultural activities. Take advantage of the Campus Cultur programme during your attendance phases. As a member of the Kunstmeile Krems, Campus Cultur aims to promote dialogue between the educational institutions on campus, people interested in art and artists in and around Krems. This is to be expressed in exhibitions, concerts, performances, readings etc.
Campus Sport
Deliberately make your day a little more unpleasant in order to have a more pleasant life in the long term!
Sporting activity and physical fitness play an important role in achieving a sustainable balance between work and life. The task of USI Krems (University Sport and Health) is to promote this, especially alongside part-time studies. It offers a varied programme of courses, events and discounts at sports and leisure facilities.
